Two Hollywood Stories at By the Sea Productions
By the Sea Productions presents two 'Old Hollywood' stories as staged readings First is “An Interview with Gladys Walton”, written by Janice Peters. After retiring from her silent film career, Gladys Walton led a colorful life before moving to Morro Bay, where she built a lightouse and windmill on her waterfront property. John Geever plays the interviewer to Janice Peters as Gladys.
The second story is a classic 1940 radio play, “My Client Curley” by Norman Corwin, about the brief but dazzling career of a dancing catepillar, which was also a 1944 Cary Grant movie titled “Once Upon A Time.” Anita Schwaber directs a large cast headed by Rhonda Crowfoot as Curley's 'owner' and Rick Bruce as the agent who makes him a star. Other actors portraying multiple characters include Mary Alvarado, Chrys Barnes, Larry Barnes, Phil Epstein, John Geever, Topher Lyons, L.B. Kelty and Russ Snow.
This 'double feature' of staged readings performs Thanksgiving weekend only, November 29 and November 30th at 7pm and December 1 at 3pm at 545 Shasta Ave., Morro Bay. Tickets/reservations are available at bytheseaproductions.org or 805-776-3287.Date and Time
