Breakfast on the Bay - The Economy of the Estuary
Join us for our January Breakfast on the Bay focused on "The Economy of the Estuary". The estuary is a vital part of our local ecosystem, and it plays a significant role in supporting our regional economy. This event is designed to help you learn more about the ways in which the estuary supports economic activity in our area.
We are delighted to introduce the Virtual Attendance option for our upcoming event. If you are unable to join us in person, simply register for the Virtual Breakfast on the Bay, and one hour prior to the meeting, we will provide you with the Zoom link. Please note that this option is exclusively for live participation, and our team will be actively monitoring the Zoom Chat to address any questions you may have during the event. For further inquiries about this option, feel free to reach out to Jody at jody@morrochamber.org.During the event, you'll hear from local business owners, nonprofits and environmental experts, who will discuss the various ways in which the estuary supports economic growth, including its role in the history of our fishing industry and promoting sustainable industries. You'll also have the opportunity to network with other attendees and get your questions answered by our speakers.
We are excited to announce that we will also be having Labor Law expert, Kim Banks of BBSI, who will delve into and discuss the significant changes that have been introduced in 2024 so that you can stay informed and ensure compliance with the latest regulations. Plus get a chance to get to know Yvonne Kimball, City Manager for the City of Morro Bay and hear a quick Tourism update from Michael Wambolt, Executive Director of Visit Morro Bay.
Whether you're a business owner, a community leader, or simply someone interested in learning more about the vital role that the estuary plays in our economy, this event is not to be missed. We look forward to seeing you there!
