Blessing of the Fleet

Join us for this tradition that began centuries ago in Mediterranean fishing communities.  The practice began predominantly Catholic, but is now practiced by all Christians, is a blessing from the local priest and pastors that is meant to ensure a safe and bountiful season. 
 
The Blessing will be on the North T Pier followed by lunch at the Morro Bay Veteran’s Hall (209 Surf St.) provided by the Morro Bay Commercial fishermen’s Organization and Central Coast Women for Fisheries.
 
Bring your friends and family to honor our local mariners for a safe and prosperous season with God’s blessing.
