The Morro Bay Chamber and the City of Morro Bay collaborated on a Business Improvement District (BID) feasibility study, conducted by The HRM Corp. in the Spring of 2022. The report is ready (read it here) and we hosted an event on Monday, August 29th from 5:30-6:30 pm at Pizza Port to discuss the findings. Jocelyn Brennan, CEO of The HRM Corp. provided an overview of the study and Bettina Swigger, CEO of the Downtown SLO Association shared successes, opportunities, and current trends in the field of place-based economic development.
